Historic District's Go To Bar

Description

Long-running bar and restaurant for sale in a busy historic district. The business has been operating for more than 20 years and draws customers for lunch, dinner, drinks and late-night entertainment.

What the business offers

• Pub-style food menu
• Full bar service
• Several indoor seating areas
• Year-round patio
• Weekend DJs
• Special events
• Shuttle service to major sporting events

The restaurant has built a regular local following over the years. Daytime restaurant sales and evening bar traffic give the business more than one busy service period during the week.

Entertainment and events

Weekend DJs and special events are already part of the schedule. The patio is also used throughout the year and gives the restaurant additional seating beyond the main dining and bar areas.

The sports shuttle is another part of the current business. It brings customers to the bar before and after selected games and helps attract groups on event days.

Room to grow

• Book more private parties
• Add events during slower nights
• Use the patio for more seasonal programming
• Promote sports shuttle packages
• Increase group and catering business

Buyer review

A buyer should review recent financial statements, food and liquor margins, payroll, lease terms, equipment, event sales and the actual costs of operating the shuttle.

Liquor and entertainment licenses, patio approvals and any permits or insurance required for the shuttle should also be confirmed before closing.
