Insurance Agency For Sale - Port Huron, Michigan

Description

Insurance agency for sale in Port Huron, Michigan.

The agency has an existing book of business with approximately $6 million in policy premiums subject to renewal. This figure represents premium volume, not agency revenue or commission income.

The sale includes the current office setup, trained staff, furniture, computers, supplies, marketing materials, signage and the existing customer base.

According to the seller, customer retention has remained strong.

Training and licensing support are available, and previous insurance industry experience is not required. The buyer will still need to meet all applicable Michigan licensing and carrier requirements.

The national insurance company currently offers commissions on new policies and annual incentive programs. Buyers should verify current commission schedules, bonus requirements and whether these programs will remain available after the sale.

The agency must continue operating under the existing national insurance brand. It cannot be combined with another independent or captive insurance agency, and the listing states that it cannot be acquired simply as part of an investment manager's portfolio.

The buyer is also expected to work from the existing office and live in or near the Port Huron area.

SBA financing may be available to qualified buyers, subject to lender and SBA approval. The seller may also consider financing part of the purchase price.

Buyers should review policy retention, actual commission revenue, carrier agreements, bonus history, expenses, staff compensation, office lease or property terms, licensing requirements and any carrier approval needed for the transfer before closing.
