Interior Design & Layout And Purchasing Agents For Sale

Description

Established interior design and procurement firm for sale with more than 30 years in business.

The company works mainly on commercial interiors, including hotels, restaurants and condominium projects. The seller reports more than 220 completed projects.

Client and project history

The firm’s portfolio includes work connected with brands such as Hilton Hotels, Marriott International, Starwood Hotels, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and TAJ Hotels, along with projects in Saudi Arabia.

Most current business comes from repeat and existing clients rather than heavy ongoing business development.

Team and owner involvement

• Project Director
• Purchasing Agent / Bookkeeper
• Experienced operating team already in place

The current owner is not heavily involved in day-to-day billable project work. The role is focused more on strategy, internal management and client relationships, with an in-office schedule of about three days per week.

The owner is willing to remain involved for approximately two to three years after closing to assist with the transition.

Deal terms

• Asking price: $515,000
• Seller financing: up to 30% of the purchase price, subject to final terms

One area a buyer could focus on is business development, since the company currently relies heavily on its existing client base and repeat work.

Buyers should verify historical financials, active projects, backlog, client concentration, contract terms, project margins, vendor and purchasing relationships, employee retention, accounts receivable, owner compensation adjustments and the exact structure of the proposed seller financing during due diligence.
