Lottery

The seller states that approximately 90% of reported revenue is associated with lottery activity.

Buyers should confirm whether this percentage refers to total lottery ticket sales or actual lottery commission income, since ticket sales and the store's retained commission are different figures.

• Increase tobacco and accessory sales where permitted

Due diligence

Buyers should verify historical financials, lottery commissions, merchandise sales by category, inventory value, employee compensation, lease terms, supplier relationships and the performance of the recently added beer category before closing.

Lottery, tobacco and alcohol sales are subject to applicable state and local licensing requirements. Existing licenses and approvals should not be assumed to transfer automatically.
